Western Kentucky Botanical Garden
We have almost 14 acres with 9 acres developed. These 9 acres contain 11 individual gardens. The Garden is a community asset and can be rented for any special occasion (including weddings), Education (such as school field trips), and enjoyment of nature by everyone.
Mission Statement To discover, observe and enjoy the wonders of our environment and to provide priceless education in order to foster an awareness of our interaction with nature.

Joe Ford Nature Center
Outdoor nature center and indoor museum/exhibit with gift shop.  School programs and Nature Camp are scheduled events along with some fund raisers. To preserve Joe Ford's collections pertaining to nature and natural/cultural history of our region and to provide educational programs to give others opportunity to enhance their knowledge in these areas of interest while providing individuals in this area a place to commune with nature.

1. What type of volunteer do you need? 
Best age would be 12 and up to 70, married, singles, church groups, college, school age, etc.
2. Hours and days you need volunteers? 
Special events to TBA. Days need T, W, Th, Fr, Sat 9-3 all days, but can volunteer 1 day 4 hrs or as many days and time they would like.  Flexible with volunteering hours
3. Annual or Special Events you need volunteers? 
Nature Camp during the summer June July on Wednesdays, 1-2 all day.
4. Are there requirements for the volunteer? 
under 18 years parent must give consent, there is a policy that must be signed by all volunteers
5. Describe the different type of volunteer opportunities your organization would offer. 
Office, ground work, painting, special events, face painting, crafts, outdoor projects, organization, computer skills.
Issac Sterett Adventure Foundation
Our goal is to help inspire children and their families to unplug and join us in the great outdoors both here in Owensboro and away at camps, parks, and new adventures. Collaborating with our non-profit partners and listening to the needs of our community is underway!
